About Energy Options

The mission of Energy Options is to promote energy conservation and renewable energy development in Oregon through public education and outreach.

What we do

Promote Distributed Renewable Energy Generation:

One key aspect of the effort to promote renewable energy capacity and use will involve strategies for increasing community-owned energy projects. EO will assist county governments, businesses, and utilities in creating strategies where communities can aggregate their demand for renewable energy and build local, renewable wind and solar energy generation.

Identify the negative impacts of air pollution in the Lower Columbia Basin:

EO will illustrate the local need for renewable energy alternatives by advocating for improved air quality. EO will use a media and messaging campaign to publicize the direct benefits of offsetting fossil fuel use with renewable energy alternatives.
